BDX Civil were engaged by Oxcon CLL to install over 30,000 lineal meters of wick drains to a depth of 14m as part of the SH1 loop road widening contract. Encountering an unforeseen subsurface hard layer meant that we had to pre-drill every wick location in order to enable full penetration of the wicking mandrel. This added significant time pressure to the wicking process, however our experienced team were able to push the envelope to get the job done ahead of schedule
